At Stamford Aerial Academy, we offer Aerial Arts classes for ages 6 through adult. With its grace, beauty and astounding demonstration of strength, Aerial Arts are a great way to unleash your inner circus artist while getting a fierce anaerobic workout!
Our facility is located in Stamford, CT, just a short drive from neighboring towns of Darien, Norwalk, Westport, New Canaan, and Greenwich.

What are Aerial Silks
- Aerial Silks (also known as Aerial Tissue, Aerial Ribbons, or more simply, Aerial Fabric) is a form of gravity-defying creative movement featuring a column of fabric rigged overhead, on which an aerial artist will demonstrate acrobatic movements and poses. Silks differ from hammocks in that the fabric is rigged with two hanging “tails” instead of a loop or hammock – as such, silks offer less support and build more upper body, core, and grip strength.

- 12 one-hour classes – $546 per semester
- NO Registration fees EVER!
- Tuition fees will be pro-rated from time of registration if you register late. Registration is NOT allowed for new students after the 4th week of each semester. Ninjas who have previously attended Stamford Aerial Academy can register with prorated fees anytime.
- We do NOT offer trial classes, but we DO offer a FULL REFUND to all NEW students if they wish to withdraw within 24 hours after the second class offered after their registration.
- After registration, your card will be charged within 48 hours. You DO NOT pay at time of registration.
- If the class is FILLED please get put on the WAITING LIST (your card will NOT be charged) and I will contact you if I can find a spot. You can also register for another class while on the waiting list for another.
- All classes are grouped by: Age and Experience

Attire
- For aerial classes, please wear form-fitting workout clothes that cover the backs of your knees, abdomen, and upper arms/armpits. Any jewelry, zippers, and buckles, are not permitted since they could potentially damage the apparatus. Long hair should be tied back.
Make-Up Classes/Skill Levels
Makeups will be offered on 1 or 2 separate days to be announced. Makeups must be done within the semester they were missed and we do not guarantee. You will be notified by email about the makeup opportunities once they become available and how to register for them if you have absence(s).
What class level should I sign up for?
If you are brand new to aerials you should sign up for a Beginner level class. If you are not new to aerial, but new to Stamford Aerial Academy, email us to set up an assessment!
Beginner Silks: For students new to aerial, who are building strength and learning basic skills.
Adv Beginner Silks: Prerequisite Skills: Able to climb to the top of the fabric, tie figure 8 foot lock in the air, and able to invert from the ground on your own.
Intermediate Silks: Prerequisite Skills: Invert in the air to wrap or hook your leg, hipkey in the air, and cross-back straddle.
